The Thursday Practica continues to grow.  Last night (8/26/10) saw 20 attendees for the warm up lesson wherein Joel introduced the concept of transitioning from “parallel system” to “cross system”. (See clip) As Usual, there was a mix of new faces, and regulars who can’t seem to quit the habit.  One experienced dancer, who is visiting the area from out of state, dropped in to share the experience.  And, as always, the practica afterwards is an opportunity to share skills with all who are interested in learning Argentine Tango.

Debby Campbell has arranged with the Downtown Boise YMCA to let us use the Fitness Gym on Sundays between 3:00 and 5:00 pm for an informal tango practice.  So far, for this inaugural event, there are only 3 likely attendees, so far.   “It takes two to tango.”  Actually you can learn a lot practicing with a couple of broomsticks.   But more people are better.

Prerequisite prior experience;     None
Fee;  None       If you are not a YMCA member, the password to get in is                     “Debbie Campbell/ tango ”
Expectations;                              None
Possibilities;                               Infinite

Questions?   Debby  409-9936  or  Carl  870-7226

Don’t be shy.

Jessica’s Moving Away Milonga

News;
Saturday May 22 was Jessica’s Moving Away Milonga. She and Ken paired up to give a great lesson on the volcada and related nuances. It was a celebration saddened by the fact that Jessica is moving from Boise. Jessica has been a welcome addition to the Boise Tango Community and we will all miss her. She looks forward to dancing with us again when we visit Portland.
