Here is the line up of the new and continuing events in store over the next several months in Boise and Sun Valley.
Weekly events;

The Thursday Practica venue continues at The Press 212 9th St, Boise, between Idaho and Bannock on the East side of the street, upstairs. There is usually a beginner lesson at 8:00 depending on interest, with a practica to follow. Lesson and Practica $5.00 which will go to pay for the dance floor and to The Boise Tango Society. The purpose of the Boise Tango Society is to promote the art of Argentine Tango here in Boise.

The Sunday practice gathering continues at the Downtown YMCA between 3:00 and 5:00. (CANCELLED this week only, Jan 29. Come instead to Jennifer Olson’s guided practica at the Broadway Dance Studio at Boise Ave and Apple St. $10.00) Drop in to practice or a free lesson if you are new to tango. This event only is free at the Y even if you are not a member. Free access password at the desk is ‘tango sponsored by Debbie Campbell”

Wednesday Lesson Series at Fort Boise Community Center, 700 Robbins Road. This is a new event which will continue as an additional weekly event. The first class of the current series started 1-25-12 with a good turnout. It is not too late to join the class.

Jennifer Olson is coming Jan 23rd through Jan 30 to share with the Boise tango community her expertise in the art of Argentine tango. Don’t miss this opportunity to “connect…with yourself, with your partner, with the ground, with the music, and with the other dancers”

Somer Surgit
Tango instructor and dancer Somer Surgit is coming to Hailey, Idaho, to teach a tango workshop on February 3-5.
The tentative schedule for the workshop is:
Friday, class at 7:00-8:15pm followed by Practica
Saturday, classes 11:00-12:15pm, 1:15-2:30pm, 2:45-4:00pm
Saturday Milonga 9pm-midnight
Sunday classes 12:00-1:15pm, 1:30-2:45pm, 3:00-4:15pm

The fee will be $100 for the entire workshop OR
$25/ class
$10/ milonga
$5/ practica
